The following text outlines the terms and conditions governing your use of the Online Script Management Service also known as Prep my Meds provided by MedOrange, a pharmacy and retail chain in Zimbabwe. Below, you'll find a summary of the key points contained in these terms and conditions:

Service Oversight: Medications ordered through this service are subject to the authority of the responsible pharmacist at the chosen or assigned dispensing pharmacy. All participating pharmacies adhere to relevant legislation and regulations.

Patient Counselling: For medications collected in person, face-to-face counselling is available. However, if you opt for delivery, counselling will be conducted via phone.

Delivery Restrictions: Some medications, may not be eligible for delivery. Geographic limitations on delivery availability may also apply. To collect your medication, you must present the original prescription at the dispensing pharmacy. For delivery orders, the original prescription must be provided to the delivery driver. Only prescriptions issued by authorised healthcare professionals in Zimbabwe will be dispensed.

Pricing: The medication prices on the MedOrange App/Website comply with all regulations and rules governing transparent pricing for medicines and scheduled substances, as well as guidelines for pharmacist fees. Please note that prices may differ when claiming medication through your medical aid.

Age Restrictions and Proxy Prescriptions: If you are ordering medication for someone other than yourself, you must have explicit authorization from the person whose prescription it is. Legal guardians can request repeats for individuals under their guardianship who are under the age of 16, with the exception of court-appointed guardians, who have no age limit for this privilege.

Registration: To access this service, registration is required on the MedOrange App/Website. Users must refer to the FAQs on the Website for detailed registration information. By creating a profile on the MedOrange App, you confirm that the provided details are your own and not those of another individual. All individuals over the age of 16 must have their own profiles to utilize the service. Legal guardians can manage profiles for individuals under their care.

Information Provided: Upon registration and selection of your dispensing pharmacy, you will receive electronic notifications via email containing details of your prescription order, the dispensing pharmacy's registration number, physical and postal addresses, contact numbers, the name of the responsible pharmacist, and their available consultation hours.

Dispensing Limits: The service dispenses a maximum one-month supply for repeat or chronic prescriptions. Initial dispensing of a prescription must not be later than 90 days from the date of issue. In cases where repeat medication is indicated, the maximum allowed repeats is 6 months.  For prescriptions on medical aid, the respective terms and conditions also apply.

Medication Collection :  When collecting your medication, ensure that you present the original prescription. The pharmacist at the dispensing pharmacy will provide information and instructions for the safe and effective use of the medication. Please carefully inspect the dispensed items upon receipt and promptly report any concerns, including incorrect medication, quantity, or strength, to the dispensing pharmacy. Do not consume any medication that appears tampered with or has been dispensed in error. Not all products are suitable for all medical conditions and may sometimes interfere with ongoing treatment or worsen a condition. It is advisable to consult your doctor before using any medication.

Medication Delivery: Medication delivery is available in specific geographical locations. To check delivery availability, follow the outlined steps provided for both the App and Website. Ensure you follow the prescribed payment process, and remember to hand over the original prescription to the delivery driver upon receipt of your medication. Carefully review the information and instructions on the packaging to ensure the safe and effective use of the medication. As with collection, promptly report any concerns regarding the delivered medication.

Payment: Payment for medication will be processed either in-store, via an online payment gateway, or through a portable payment system (POS) during collection or delivery.

Returns or Cancellations: In accordance with the Medicines and Related Substance Act, medications cannot be returned for credit due to health and safety considerations. MedOrange reserves the right to cancel an order even if payment has already been received, such as when the dispensing pharmacy lacks stock of a specific medication or when stock is insufficient. In such cases, MedOrange will reimburse the funds accordingly.
